WOODROW WILSON 95th ANNIVERSARY

The Woodrow Alumni Association (WWHSAA) proudly wishes to introduce the “Wild About Woodrow” campaign, a communications program designed to unite our alumni, encourage school pride, and to promote interest in our upcoming 95th school anniversary scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024. As we approach this date, we are reminded of all the things that set our alma mater apart from all other schools. Founded in 1928, Woodrow is a Dallas Landmark as well as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, the highest honor the state can bestow on a historic structure. Our school has the most unique and beautiful architecture of any school in the city. We are the only public high school in the nation to be home to two Heisman trophy winners. We have the most prestigious Hall of Fame program with the most notable and accomplished alumni inductees, and the finest alumni association in the country. As Woodrow alumni, we have the privilege of protecting the honor, preserving the tradition, and promoting the legacy of the best high school in the nation.

Some of the activities for the 95th Anniversary celebration include enjoying 1) the Hall of Fame ceremony where you will be able to meet the new inductees as well as several inductees from years past, 2) the impressive Wildcat Legends Plaza located on the front lawn, 3) the latest additions to the school, such as the recently dedicated Cotton Miles Gym and more, 4) the “Decades Room” where school memorabilia from several decades will be displayed, 5) performances by the band, Sweethearts, and cheerleaders as well as demonstrations by the robotics and drone teams, 6) refreshments in the food court, and 7) other activities (TBA) that are currently in the planning phase.

As updates to the 95th Anniversary event unfold, you will be informed via various Woodrow Facebook pages as well as right here through our website. While we continue to unite all our alumni, we wish to express our appreciation to all of the Woodrow Nation who have loved and supported our school throughout the years. If you are just now returning to reunite with old friends and to make new acquaintances – please accept our invitation to always stay connected. You are all important contributors to the rich legacy of our school.
