Hello Wildcat Nation, and happy Spring from the Woodrow Wilson High School Alumni Association! There’s something about this season that feels especially electric at Woodrow. Campus is buzzing with student achievements, beloved traditions, and the kind of community spirit that has defined our school for generations. As the days get longer, so does our list of exciting events, celebrations, and opportunities to reconnect with fellow Wildcats. Whether you’re cheering on current students, attending spring performances and games, or joining alumni gatherings across Dallas, this is the perfect time to lean back into the pride and legacy that make Woodrow truly special. We’re thrilled to share what’s blooming across our community and to keep strengthening the ties that connect Wildcats past, present, and future. Here’s to a vibrant season ahead and to staying Wildcat strong. With sincere appreciation, The WWHSAA |

| WILDCAT BAND HOSTS CATFEST 2026 CATFest 2026 was a HUGE success! We fell short on corporate donors compared to previous years, but our audience members and community stepped up and showed out with our biggest attendance year to date! Samuell-Grand Amphitheater was PACKED and everyone enjoyed a wonderful show. We had performances from the Mount Auburn STEAM Academy Folklorico, the Woodrow Wilson Jazz Band, the Mata Montessori Modern Band, the JL Long Treasurettes, The Tabasco Birds, JL Long Cheer, and the Squeaky Struts accompanied by members of the Woodrow Wilson Jazz Band and Marching Band. We had a special dance solo from Christian Rodriguez, a Sweetheart, as well as our Senior Feature Twirler Evelyn Henry, and our outstanding color guard members! |

We don't have final fundraising numbers yet, but early estimates are putting our profit around $6500 for the year. This is great news, but we've got a huge step to bridge the gap! Our marching show for next year has already been planned and is being worked on as we speak, but the show production alone will cost around $5,000, plus our colorguard will need new flags and costumes, the marching band will be updating the graphics for our props, and we've got tons of great private lesson teachers willing and able to come back and teach our kids! We've got an expensive year coming up, but we know with the support of our alumni and community, we can make it happen for the Band! The overall improvement in the Wildcat Band over the past few years has been huge! This year, the Wildcat Concert Band earned its first ever Varsity Sweepstakes rating at UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest on April 1st in MANY years, the Wildcat Jazz Band received 1st division superior ratings the Dallas Music Educators Association Jazz Festival, and the Wildcat Marching Band was only one superior rating away from advancing to Area Marching contest. Absolutely NONE of this could be possible without the amazing support of our alumni and the wonderful community surrounding Woodrow Wilson High School. If you want to come check out the concert band, jazz band, and choir at our Spring Concert, come on down to the auditorium at Woodrow on May 7th at 6:30pm for a super entertaining show! Check out more photos and videos from CATfest 2026! |
WOODROW WILSON HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION |
Generations of young people have studied in Woodrow's classrooms, played on its athletic fields, flourished in its arts programs. They have gone on to meaningful and productive lives, prepared for their roles as adults and as citizens. And each generation has looked back at their Woodrow experience with loyalty and pride. The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation was formed to ensure that Woodrow’s reputation for excellent education is continued for generations to come. We are committed to supporting educational programs at Woodrow, as well as at the schools in the feeder pattern, in order to uphold the highest standards possible for public education in the city of Dallas in the form of loans, grants and scholarships. |
WOODROW WILSON HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS |
| In addition to the Grant Program, the Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation also serves as the steward of endowments created to provide annual college scholarships for deserving Woodrow seniors. These funds represent an extraordinary gift to Woodrow as an investment in our students’ potential and a source of encouragement and financial support as they take their next steps. |

| COMMUNITY SUPPORT THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE | WOODROW FEEDER IMPACT FUNT Congratulations to the 2025-26 Woodrow Feeder Impact Fund grant winners! This year the Foundation distributed an extraordinary $81,000+ in grants to educators across the Woodrow feeder pattern, bringing the total in grant awards to over $138,000 since the program's founding. This represents the most impactful year yet and this is due in large part to the private funding and donations raised during the Foundation's second annual Fireside Chat featuring Dr. Michael Hinojosa, former Superintendent of Dallas ISD. Many individuals generously gave during this event which enabled the Foundation to support even more innovative projects that enhance learning, creativity, and opportunity for students throughout East Dallas, helping award additional funding beyond the original $60,000 target. Meet this year's grant recipients and award amounts by campus: - J.L. Long Middle School - $22,050
- Mount Auburn STEAM Academy - $9,408
- Geneva Heights Elementary - $8,675
- William Lipscomb Elementary - $8,594
- Lakewood Elementary - $7,980
- Woodrow Wilson High School - $7,500
- Mockingbird Elementary School - $6,327
- O.M. Roberts Elementary - $5,750
- Eduardo Mata Montessori - $5,050
